LE COQ SPORTIF Q&A ROUNDUP

Thursday night saw a great start to CREPE CITY 12 with a joint event between Team CC and LE COQ SPORTIF. The evening started with a private Q&A session featuring Kish Kash, representing Team CC, Marc Chamberlain of Le Coq Sportif and Marcel Holzmann (@princejamal81), the owner of the 14 beautiful pairs of vintage LCS runners on display. It was a great insight into how passion for a brand as a collector or an employee can be combined together to bring a shoe back from the archives for the rest of us to enjoy. It is always a pleasure to listen to people who have a genuine passion for trainers talk about their love and experiences and we can always learn something new.

Le Coq Sportif is probably not a brand that many of us know a lot about, which is a fact Marc admits, but also hopes to change. The brand has a rich archive of running shoes, a small selection of which make up the display that will be available to view until the 23rd November. With silhouettes dating from 1985 through to 1992, including the Quartz, Aquillon, Platinum and Mica Ciel to name just a few, the exhibition is a great insight into a brand that has a very distinct style throughout its model range. We strongly suggest taking a trip to the Covent Garden store if you have the chance.

After the Q&A the doors were opened up and those braving the cold outside were let in to enjoy the tunes being mixed by DJ Snips and drinks from Havana Club. Despite the dropping temperature the event was really well attended, with a lot of familiar faces filling the Covent Garden store. We certainly enjoyed catching up with old friends and being introduced to new people who share our passion.

Our thanks go to Team CC and the guys and girls at LE COQ SPORTIF for the invite and you can check out the video recap below…
