2016 is Finnish brand Karhu’s 100th anniversary and to help them celebrate, they’ve once again turned to the Amsterdam-based streetwear boutique Patta to deliver the KARHU X PATTA SYNCHRON CLASSIC.
Patta was tasked with creating a fresh look for the Synchron Classic, which was introduced to the Karhu stable in the early ’80s. In a novel development, Patta has crafted the upper using premium nubuck, which is a first for the silhouette. The leather is contrasted with durable mesh, pigskin leather lining, as well as 3M reflective accents. The labels’ brand names are embroidered on the heels: Patta on the left shoe, Karhu on the right. Similarly, the tongue labels are adorned with the logos, while both of the partners are highlighted on the sublimated sockliners. Each pair comes with three different sets of laces with aglet branding, including the original zigzag-pattern characteristic of the original Synchron Classic. As for the colourway, this modern take on the Synchron Classic will be available in a Dark Green/Marzipan combination.
The KARHU X PATTA SYNCHRON CLASSIC will drop in-store at Patta’s Amsterdam and London shops on FRIDAY 9 DECEMBER and online on SATURDAY 10 DECEMBER. As a bonus, anyone buying a pair from the Patta Amsterdam and London locations on December 9 will be able to land an exclusive packable Karhu x Patta running jacket, too.
