Let’s take a little trip down memory lane! The story of the ADISTAR range begins decades ago. In the late 1970s, the first ADISTAR was introduced as a lightweight shoe designed purely for competition. By the 2000s, the line had evolved into a family of cushioned runners built for long-distance performance. Then, in 2008, the ADISTAR CONTROL 5 made its debut as a technical all-rounder, balancing control and comfort.
Now, in 2025, the model is back on the streets once more. Its design honours everything we loved about the original, while being reimagined for a new generation.

Let’s talk some tech: As we already mentioned, the reissued Control 5 silhouette still retains its performance DNA with technical features such as a durable rubber outsole and a FORMOTION heel unit for excellent stability. It also features an ADIPRENE+ midsole cushioning and a midfoot torsion bar for added comfort and support.
