Gary Aspden Celebrates 10 Years of adidas SPZL with New Decade Pack

After the successful launch of the adidas SPZL Pre-Spring Collection in April 2024, Gary Aspden is keeping spirits high for the 10th anniversary celebration – the adidas SPZL Decade Pack. On 24TH MAY 2024, we’ll see the release of four refreshed classics: the Garwen SPZL, Lacombe SPZL, Blackburn SPZL, and Ardwick SPZL.

Each pair has been given a little makeover to enhance their original vibe without losing their unique style. Aspden adds, “We didn’t want to completely reinvent these styles that have in many ways become SPZL classics but we did want to ensure that each style could be subtly differentiated (and hopefully improved) from their predecessors.”

A Closer Look at the adidas SPZL Decade Pack…

Garwen SPZL | IG6563

The Garwen SPZL is back, inspired by the adidas Brisbane. This time, it’s sporting a fresh combo of light brown, putty, and gum. The upper is a mix of leather and suede overlays, with metal details like the Trefoil branding on the side panel and eyestays that really pop.

Lacombe SPZL | IG8938

The Lacombe SPZL is known for its clean and timeless look. For this update, Aspden chose a cool palette of white, chalk white, and dark navy. The sneaker now features a breathable mesh tongue and patent leather branding that also appears on the heel.

Blackburn SPZL | IH2139

Sneakerheads love the Blackburn SPZL, and it’s easy to see why. The new version blends elements from the original Blackburn SPZL and the Blackburn Ewood SPZL. It comes with a forest green suede upper and a night marine blue tongue, finished with a gold Lancashire rose and the SPZL Mod Trefoil logo, a nod to Aspden’s hometown.

Ardwick SPZL | IH2146

Last but not least, the Ardwick SPZL is making a comeback with some fresh tweaks. Sticking with the adidas Topanga silhouette, it retains the emerald green inspired by Manchester’s Ardwick district. The biggest change is the smaller tongue label with gold lettering on deep brown canvas, paired with chocolate brown foxing and a reversed leather upper for a standout look.
