Tinker Hatfield is no stranger to pushing the boat out when it comes to both innovative designs and commendable self-expression, and the Nike Air Max 1 86 Lost Sketch upholds this legacy flawlessly.
Drawing inspo (quite literally) from the designers early sketches, the Nike Air Max 1 86 Lost Sketch combines the past with the present through a seemingly ‘worn but in perfect condition’ type of vibe, almost as if lost for a while, and then found. If the blend of gently worn finishing on the overlay and aged midsole didn’t already scream ‘preloved’ aesthetic, then the boxing most definitely will, sporting a black base colour with dominant red ‘scratched’ detailing.
Following the iconic silhouette and pioneering of the Nike Air Max 1 86 OG Big Bubble, the Nike Air Max 1 utilises Hatfield’s creative eye to provide us with a timeless and versatile design. A fun, safari-patterned mudguard blends each asset of the trainer with ease, delivering a diffused grey and blue colourway that is perfect for Summer days. And of course, it wouldn’t be Nike Air Max 1 without the iconic visible air cushioning which is accompanied below an amateur-like drawing of the ‘AIR’ branding.
