The CONVERSE X PARIA FARZANEH PRO LEATHER X2 brings a new edge to the tweaked basketball model…
First released way back in 1976, Converse’s Pro Leather model helped the brand to define itself in ‘70s and ‘80s basketball, with a little help from legendary player Julius Erving, aka Dr J. Fast forward to 2020, and London-based designer Paria Farzaneh is putting her own stamp on its X2 edition, revealed during her recent show at LFW. The first collaborator to take on the stacked up X2, Farzaneh presents the shoe in a muted greyish-white palette with trail laces creating a utilitarian aesthetic. The designer’s Persian heritage is applied with details such as a decorative jacquard print and metal trinkets, giving the shoe a signature edge.
