CLOT’s recent footwear journey may be most closely associated with adidas, but that hasn’t stopped it from broadening its collaborative scope. Following the success of their debut project earlier this year, CLOT and BAPE are back for a second round.
This time, the duo turns their attention to the iconic BAPE STA. Reworking it with signature prints and a pared-back colour palette.
The defining feature of the release is the smart fusion of CLOT’s ALIENGRA texture with a digitised version of BAPE’s classic camo, layered to create a subtle yet distinctive look. The shoes arrive in two colourways. A sleek black-and-grey option and a more classic olive green.
The overall aesthetic remains understated despite the patterned overlays. Co-branded details like alternating logos on the vamp, heel tab, and lace dubrae add further character. With ‘CLOT STA’ branding making its mark in a modest but recognisable way.
The release is accompanied by a capsule collection featuring graphic tees, trucker caps to match each pair. And exclusive ‘CLOT STA’ shirts, which are available only at Juice store locations.
The drop also nods to an intriguing dynamic between CLOT, adidas, and Nike. CLOT notably parted ways with Nike in favour of adidas, while BAPE is currently involved in a legal dispute with Nike. Despite its founder, Nigo, maintaining creative ties with the brand.
Now, with CLOT linking up with BAPE under the adidas umbrella, the collaboration subtly reflects this ongoing narrative.
The CLOT x BAPE STA collection is set to launch globally on 26 July 2025, with the trainers priced at approximately £200.
