ART CLUB @ BEAUBEAUS: Birkenstock Style

Gathering in one of East London’s top spots for creatives, END. gets an exclusive insight into BeauBeaus Art Club, where members effortlessly style the Birkenstock Tokio.

If you’re a creative in the London scene, chances are you’ve heard of BeauBeaus café. Comfortably nestled into East London’s Gravel Lane, the contemporary café goes beyond the conventional pastries and fancy lattes of the city’s eateries, intentionally creating a multi-use space for creatives to connect and thrive. Since opening their doors in May 2023, owners Tallula Christie and Olaolu Slawn have garnered an overwhelming amount of support across the community, praised for their efforts in providing creatives with a space to flourish. Proving this statement true, is one of BeauBeaus very own ventures, The Art Club, hosted every Wednesday by Teoni Hinds and co-founder, Slawn

Creating a safe atmosphere whereby each individual freely expresses their creativity, the Art Club hosts a group each week with a simple brief of drawing or painting something that they can physically see in the room. And of course, it goes without saying that they look very stylish whilst doing it. During a visit with UK retailer END. and Birkenstock, we got a look at some of the regular faces of the club, each injecting their own stylish flair into the Birkenstock Tokio.

From washed denim jorts to tailored box jeans, these artists know exactly how to style a ‘fit. When these talents aren’t chipping away at their easel or telling a colourful, heartfelt story through their pieces, they can be found repping woolly zip-ups, knit sweaters and chute pants, rounding off their looks with some tube socks to seal the deal.

“Art Club is important for all artists as there’s no judgement. Everyone appreciates talent no matter what stage they’re at in their careers. Spaces like BeauBeaus are important because it’s a safe place where people can take a first step and be motivated to answer their passions. To me, building a community is important because Art Club is like an educational program where people can come and learn social or art skills, and I want to help offer that to as many people as possible”.
