In a twist that left sneaker enthusiasts both surprised and elated, adidas recently dropped a bombshell announcement concerning the iconic YEEZY line in collaboration with Kanye West, or Ye, as he’s widely known today. After that infamous controversy in 2022, it appeared that the longstanding collaboration would finally conclude the following year. However, recent news from the 3-Stripes has revealed that the brand will continue to sell YEEZY sneakers in 2024. A significant W for fans of the alliance!
Back in 2014, Ye and adidas kicked off a wild ride, releasing one hyped sneaker after another. But, things got rocky in late 2022 when Ye’s wild statements led to an untimely breakup. Fast forward to 2023, and adidas decided to sell off the remaining YEEZY stock for charity; turns out, that move paid off big time.
Beyond expectations, CEO Bjørn Gulden revealed the year’s positive financial performance in a news statement. Gulden said: ‘Our fourth quarter developed a little better than expected, and we have decided to release preliminary numbers. For the full year, our currency-neutral revenues were flat, and we reached an operating profit of €268 million. This is €368 million better than what we guided for.’
In the same announcement, Gulden revealed all, and can now confirm that YEEZY isn’t done yet. Yes, you did read that correctly – the saga is officially rolling into 2024. What’s on the horizon, we hear you ask? adidas is keeping that under wraps for now. However, certain models that were restocked in 2023 are still up for grabs, shop now via the the banner below!
