The adidas Originals x SNS Södermalm Pays Homage to Where It All Began
The ADIDAS ORIGINALS X SNS SÖDERMALM is a new collaborative release, with Sneakersnstuff presenting us with a city-themed retooling of the Stadt silhouette, renamed in honour of the location of the first SNS store in Stockholm.
The Stadt silhouette is a low-tech but very appealing design, echoing many of our favourite models from the adidas Originals collection. Who needs technology when the materials and construction are as flawless as they are here anyway? The rich green suede uppers really emphasize the quality of the build, with the archetypal leather 3-Stripes reminding us who’s behind such a masterpiece. Paying homage to the first SNS venue, founders Erik and Peter explain the thought behind the shoe with a little love note to their first neighbourhood…
“We’ve seen you grow with us as we’ve grown with you. Going from being a residential neighborhood to becoming a vivid part of the city filled with warmth and love. When we’ve looked for where to open up shops in other cities such as London, Berlin, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, we’ve asked ourselves where that city Södermalm is. SNS wouldn’t have been the same if it hadn’t opened anywhere else than on Söder.“
