Throwback Thursday: the adidas Originals Nizza Hi and Lo Vintage White/Blue
The ADIDAS ORIGINALS NIZZA HI AND LO VINTAGE WHITE/BLUE turns back the clock to reflect on adidas’ basketball heritage.
Whilst Converse’s pioneering model the Chuck Taylor All Star and Nike’s streetwear-ready Jordan lineage have dominated the history of basketball footwear, a deeper dig into the sport’s heritage will lead you to a pocket of adidas sneakers, including ‘70s model, the Nizza.
Maybe not as sleek as the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar model, the Nizza isn’t far off, and to be honest – is probably about as close as you’re going to get – with the MVP’s pro-model likely to set you back at least a couple hundred bones.
Available in both hi and lo models, the silhouette runs with off-white uppers and the trademark adidas Originals royal blue, which is applied across the three-stripe branding and further accenting.
