In a time when sneaker design knows no limits, adidas has revealed one of its boldest hybrids yet: the Samba Snakeskin Boot. Part trainer, part boot, the silhouette pushes the boundaries of what the classic Samba can become.

Much like New Balance’s 1906L, cheekily nicknamed the “snoafer” for its blend of sneaker and loafer, adidas has reimagined its icon with a removable twist. The result is a design that straddles categories — though whether it should be called a “leaker” or a “snoot” remains open for debate.

The Samba Snakeskin Boot comes in a striking navy snakeskin finish, with glossy textures covering the entire upper. Olive green accents add contrast, bringing depth to the bold design. Thanks to the removable collar, the shoe can be worn as a traditional Samba trainer or extended into a boot, offering two looks in one.

The premium construction calls to mind the Wales Bonner x adidas collaborations of recent years, but with a more experimental edge. While the base Samba is instantly recognisable, the added collar gives the silhouette an imposing character that makes it feel entirely new. For some, the stripped-down trainer version will be the highlight, while others may prefer the elevated boot style.

Officially titled the adidas Samba Snakeskin Boot Navy Snakeskin, the release is expected in autumn 2025.

What is the Samba Snakeskin Boot?

The adidas Samba Snakeskin Boot is a hybrid take on the classic Samba. Crafted in snakeskin leather with a detachable collar, it allows the wearer to switch between a sleek trainer and a bold boot.
