The ACRONYM X NIKELAB AIR PRESTO MID is one of the most well-conceived and beautifully-executed collaborations we’ve seen in a while. To bring you a closer look at this unique release, we hit up Acronym afficionado 1000deaths who had some of the best shots of the shoes yet.
Acronym head honcho Errolson Hugh has a well-established working relationship with Nike, having already masterminded the rebirth of the much-loved ACG line alongside other collaborative projects. And this new release demonstrates the same obsession with functionality: instead of settling for a run-of-the-mill collab colour-up, Acronym have stripped the shoe back and rebuilt it to their own futuristic specifications. The Presto’s much-loved lacing system and sole unit provide the base for a completely reengineered upper, featuring an extended ankle cuff decked out with with utilitarian heel pull straps and zips. The forward-thinking construction mixes Hyperfuse technology, leather and neoprene for a sleek and comfortable shoe whose looks match up to its functionality. Pair these with Acronym’s equally well-designed apparel and you’ll be well-prepared for the apocalypse…
