The Three Stripes return to Tokyo (via the future) for the new ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY WHITE MOUNTAINEERING AW16 FOOTWEAR COLLECTION.
The two brands’ extensive apparel collection is matched by a strong line-up of footwear that’s equipped not only for winter but also for the future. Yosuke Aizawa and his White Mountaineering team have delved into the adidas archives and returned with a range that’s firmly foward-looking while still paying homage to the past. The hype has already been building steadily for the White Mountaineering NMD_CS1, with its distinctive co-branded chevron stripes that wrap around the upper – but the rest of the range proves to be just as good. A modified WM Forum Mid sports white panels on a dark synthetic leather upper, bringing a future military vibe to this basketball classic. Japan’s favourite hybrid hiker returns in the form of the WM Seeulater, updated with a Primeknit upper and co-branded laces running right down to the toe. The WM EQT Running adds a more rugged feel to this ’90s icon, while the WM Court modifies the classic Rod Laver for winter. Lastly, the new WM Racing 1 is a hiking-inspired version of the archival Formel runner.
The ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY WHITE MOUNTAINEERING AW16 FOOTWEAR COLLECTION is due for release on 27 OCTOBER with ADIDAS and selected retailers. Take a look at the line-up below and click the banner to shop the full range directly with adidas once it goes live…
