The NIKE AIR PRESTO GPX sees the ‘t-shirt for your feet’ combine a black on white digi-camo print with a pop of colour to great effect.
The AIR PRESTO was a culmination of the groundbreaking work the brand did in the ’90s for performance footwear design, especially when it came to defining the ultimate in comfort. The model was the apex of this, a sports shoe that was essentially a big sock with laces and a sole, which gives the wearer’s foot maximum flexibility and room for toe movement, whilst still maintaining adequate support with its construction. The cage allowed for additional lockdown and fit, and with ‘the perfect fit’ configuration, the AIR PRESTO became described as being a ‘t-shirt for your feet’, which was reflected in the sizing options as well, that ranged from XXXS–XXXL rather than the standard numeric system. The original colourways and plastic detailing are said to be inspired by Apple’s iMac G3 and their transparent casings, which allowed you to see the technology at work. The latest incarnation is this radical mix of the Black and White floating squares graphic across the upper and the borderline glow in the dark hits of Green Glow on the cage and toe piece. The White continues on to the midsole and is contrasted by additional hits of Black on the speckling, Swoosh, crash pad and outsole. We have made it clear in the past that we are big fans of the AIR PRESTO and it is really good to see some new and unusual colourways being released.
