Workwear Gets a High-Fashion Mutation in sacai x Carhartt WIP FW25
If you ever thought Carhartt WIP was too literal, or sacai too conceptual, think again. For fall 2025, these two worlds collide in a 19-piece capsule that reimagines utility staples with dramatic architectural flair. Resulting in a ‘Frankenstein’ of function, down-stitched puffers meet canvas chore pieces, and rugged silhouettes are given asymmetry, elegance, and edge.
A Closer Look at the sacai x Carhartt WIP collaboration…
At the heart of the drop is the Detroit-puffer hybrid jacket: a mashup combining Carhartt’s signature workwear chassis with sacai’s love for grand volume and insulation. Expect classic down quilting pressed into sturdy canvas shapes. Elsewhere, the collection leans hard into deconstruction and reconstruction. A cropped leather biker jacket appears with an asymmetric front, peeled edges, and structural drama.
On the women’s side, they stitch together elements of the Arctic Jacket and Double-Knee Pant to create skirts with rugged utility pockets and exaggerated silhouettes. Cargo minis, asymmetric knits, and washed canvas pieces all round out the mix – with every item bearing a co-branded woven label and the lived-in patina of garment washing. Colourways are earthy but bold: think pine green, dark caramel, black, and weathered neutrals.

When will the sacai x Carhartt WIP collaboration drop?
The global launch is 3rd October 2025, with a pre-launch in Japan (Isetan Shinjuku) on 1st October.
How do I buy items from the sacai x Carhartt WIP drop?
On the sacai official online store, items are sold via a raffle entry system; winners get a chance to purchase. In Japan pop-ups (Aoyama, Shinsaibashi, Isetan) also use raffle entry for store access.
