Y’s by Yohji Yamamoto has taken the helm in designing Supreme’s latest collection, resulting in a daring fusion of raw streetwear and the rebellious, avant-garde aesthetic that Yamamoto is famed for. The collaboration channels a punk-inspired edge, producing standout pieces that resonate with the identities of both brands.
Yohji Yamamoto is no stranger to juggling multiple ventures. In addition to his eponymous label, he oversees the adidas Y-3 line and recently unveiled the Yohji Yamamoto Eyewear collection. Now, in a surprising twist, he has joined forces with Supreme.
The collection goes beyond simply merging logos. It features a wide array of items, including leather jackets, denim work jackets, knitwear, shirts, hoodies, denim cargo trousers, beanies, jewellery, and even a collector’s fan.
At the heart of the collaboration is the Faux Fur WINDSTOPPER® bomber. The jacket is available in two striking shades, black and deep red, both complete with a hood.
Yamamoto’s signature skull motifs make recurring appearances throughout the collection. They feature in an all-over denim print and as detailing on the leather jacket, reinforcing the punk influence. Knitwear pieces sport a devilish “666” graphic, while shirts feature the Grim Reaper, underscoring the rebellious undertone of the line.
The denim receives a contemporary update with a barrel fit, added pockets, metal embellishments, and skeleton-inspired accessories that tie the collection together.
The Y’s by Yohji Yamamoto x Supreme collection will be released on 11 September 2025, exclusively through Supreme. Keep an eye on the Drop Date’s news page for further updates and previews.
