adidas Originals is once again teaming up with global music icon Bad Bunny, this time for the upcoming release of the Gazelle Indoor in a striking new ‘Vega Baja’ colourway. Building on the momentum of the highly acclaimed ‘City Series’, this latest drop continues to celebrate the cultural roots of the Puerto Rican artist.
The ‘Vega Baja’ edition marks the fourth instalment in the series, following the successful releases of ‘Cabo Rojo’, ‘Santurce’, and ‘El Yunque’. Each colourway in the collection serves as a tribute to a different region of Puerto Rico, forming a symbolic map of the island and reflecting the places that have influenced Bad Bunny’s life and career.
Having already generated massive buzz throughout the summer, the City Series has quickly become one of adidas’ most talked-about collaborations. The unique blend of heritage design and personal storytelling has struck a chord with fans of both the brand and the artist.
The upcoming ‘Vega Baja’ colourway was first seen at The Archive, an exhibition held at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico. Dedicated to showcasing Bad Bunny’s creative journey through sneakers, the exhibition offered a rare look at unreleased designs.
Alongside the yellow ‘Vega Baja’ pair, a red Gazelle Indoor, believed to be inspired by the architecture of Ponce, also made an appearance.
While official release dates for both the ‘Vega Baja’ and ‘Ponce’ versions have yet to be confirmed, rumours suggest a launch is likely sometime in 2025. Given the hype surrounding the earlier drops, these new additions are expected to sell out quickly.
The Archive exhibition runs from 6–17 August 2025 at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico.
