Just In: Official Images of the Yu-Gi-Oh! x .SWOOSH x Nike Air Max 95
Nike is taking us straight back to Duelist Kingdom with its latest nostalgia-packed drop; the Yu-Gi-Oh! x .SWOOSH x Air Max 95. Official images have just landed, and yes, they’re as epic as you’d hope.
Two colourways are hitting shelves on 12 September 2025. The ‘Joey’ colourway is a near-perfect replica of the kicks Joey Wheeler rocked in the anime, complete with scuffed-up detailing, bold panels, and subtle Yu-Gi-Oh! touches (peek at the outsole for a surprise).
There’s also a Japan-exclusive ‘Jonouchi’ version in cool greys, channelling his early manga look.
Both pairs come in special packaging with official Nike x Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards, a first for the trading card game. The drop also includes a varsity-style Nike Destroyer jacket inspired by Domino High’s school uniform, plus heavyweight tees featuring Joey and his Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
And just to crank the nostalgia up to max, the campaign trailer reunites the original Japanese and English voice actors. Time to lace up and duel in style.
The ‘Joey’ colourway and matching apparel will launch worldwide on 12 September 2025 via SNKRS and select retailers, while the ‘Jonouchi’ edition and its coordinating gear will drop the same day, but only in Japan.

Original post August 7, 2025 – A bold new drop is on the horizon, and it merges sneaker culture with nostalgic anime vibes. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95, Nike has teamed up with Yu-Gi-Oh! for a truly eye-catching collaboration that’s already turning heads.
The partnership was officially unveiled during San Diego Comic-Con at the end of July, and now we’re finally getting a proper look at the upcoming ‘Psychic Blue’ colourway.
Let’s Dive In…
Dressed in a vivid blue with electrifying ‘Volt’ yellow accents around the Air units and tongue, this iteration of the Air Max 95 makes a statement. The tongue features the words ‘Air Muscle’, while the heel proudly bears the inscription ‘1995 Nike Yu-Gi-Oh!’ – a clear tribute to the iconic Japanese manga series that first rose to fame in the late ’90s.
But the details don’t stop there. Inside the shoe, you’ll find the Yu-Gi-Oh! logo alongside a graphic of the legendary Red-Eyes Black Dragon – a fan-favourite monster from the trading card game that made its return in 2025. Every pair also arrives in a special edition box, which includes a limited Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card featuring none other than Joey Wheeler alongside the dragon, making this release a true collector’s item.
The Nike x Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95 ‘Psychic Blue’ is slated for release on September 4, 2025, via Nike and selected retailers. The drop will be accompanied by an exclusive apparel collection, including a Nike Destroyer Jacket in ‘Blue Void/Off White’ and two Solo Swoosh T-shirts.
A second colourway, simply titled ‘White’, is also expected to follow later in the autumn.
