Another month, another Crocs collaboration. This time, the brand is partnering with a true icon of haute couture. Jean Paul Gaultier, known for his subversive and avant-garde approach to fashion, is the latest designer to put his spin on the foam clog giant.
This unexpected pairing marks a bold new step into high fashion for Crocs, following notable partnerships with labels like Balenciaga and Simone Rocha.
Last week, the French fashion house — once helmed by Gaultier himself — unveiled the first look at the upcoming collaboration via Instagram. The images revealed two punk-inspired silhouettes that blend Crocs’ unmistakable comfort-first ethos with Gaultier’s rebellious flair.
The collection reimagines two of Crocs’ best-known styles: the Classic Clog and the Bae Clog. Gaultier adds his signature edge to both models, resulting in three unique designs that are anything but ordinary.
The standout piece is arguably the Classic Clog, presented in a black faux-leather colourway. It features detailed corset-like stitching and a custom safety pin — nods to Gaultier’s iconic runway aesthetics and punk heritage. The design is sleek yet bold, and may well win over even the most die-hard Crocs sceptics.
Meanwhile, the Bae Clog, known for its exaggerated platform sole, gets two eye-catching treatments. One model showcases a delicate lace motif, while the other subtly references the famous cone bra worn by Madonna during her Blonde Ambition tour, complete with circular topstitching and lace-up details.
It’s a playful yet stylish tribute to one of Gaultier’s most legendary creations.
While an official release date has not yet been confirmed, the collaboration is expected to launch in August 2025 via Crocs and selected retailers.
