A fresh Air Jordan 4 colourway is joining the Rare Air line-up, just in time for the silhouette’s 35th anniversary in 2025. But, what exactly is the deal with Rare Air? It all goes back to the early days of the Jordan 1. When the hype first took off, a few dodgy samples, think wonky logos and off-centre stitching etc, somehow ended up on shop shelves. Now, that imperfect past is getting a stylish rework with the different Rare Air drops.

You could say also: A reminder that even mistakes can become part of the story!

Back in April 2025, we saw the Jordan 3 getting the same treatment. But now, lets focus in the new Air Jordan 4…

A closer look at the Air Jordan 4 Rare Air…

The Air Jordan 4 ‘Rare Air’ comes with a vintage, worn-in vibe. The mudguard looks slightly faded, and the off-white sole adds to that retro feel. Up top, you’ve got tough suede with a matte finish, while purple hits on the collar and sole give it a nice bit of contrast.

One standout feature? The tongue logo. You’ll spot the usual Jumpman, but this time it’s attached with Velcro. Peel it off, and you’ll find “Jordan Rare Air” hiding underneath. A fun twist on a classic design that gives it that true Rare Air feel.

Nods to the colourway’s name can also be spotted on the midsole, where the usual Jordan branding has been swapped out for a “Rare Air” callout paired with a Swoosh. A subtle but standout switch-up.

The Air Jordan 4 SE ‘Rare Air’ is set to land on Saturday 26 July 2025 at 8AM, dropping in full family sizing via Nike and select retailers. Raffles are already open up, so make sure to head over to The Drop Dare release calendar for all the latest drop info and links.
