adidas Gives the Stan Smith a Ballet-Inspired Makeover
adidas is keeping the balletcore momentum going with a fresh rework of the Stan Smith Low. Transforming the classic tennis silhouette into a sleek, ballet-inspired lifestyle model.
A Closer Look…
Drawing inspiration from the rise of balletcore and Mary Jane aesthetics, this new iteration brings a lifestyle look to the Stan Smith silhouette. A flat sole, seam-bisected toebox, and a single leather strap replace the traditional lacing system. Subtle adidas branding remains intact with perforated three stripes, a Trefoil logo at the heel, and smooth leather uppers.
So far, two versions have surfaced: a monochrome all-black and a white pair with contrasting red trims. Both offer a versatile take on modern-day flats with an elegance reminiscent of Maison Margiela’s Tabis and minimalist fashion footwear.
The Drop
An official release date for the adidas Stan Smith Low Ballet has yet to be announced, but the silhouette is rumored to land in Summer 2025.
