The movie star and martial arts master, Bruce Lee, will get his own tribute with the adidas Jabbar. The collab pays homage to Lee, 53 years after his passing.
Yet, this is one of the most unexpected yet legendary crossovers of the year. adidas has brought together two cultural icons, Bruce Lee and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The sneaker collab that pays homage to martial arts, basketball, and cinematic history.
The result? The adidas Jabbar “Game of Death”, a bold and nostalgic nod to Lee’s 1978 film and his friendship with the basketball legend.
The retro silhouette was originally created for basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar by adidas in the 1970s. Moreover, the Game of Death colourway features a full yellow upper accented with black stripes and detailing, directly inspired by Lee’s jumpsuit. On the heel, a stylised Bruce Lee signature completes the tribute.
Abdul-Jabbar studied under Lee’s martial arts philosophy and even appeared in Game of Death in one of the film’s most iconic fight scenes. This sneaker, therefore, represents more than a style statement; it’s a tribute to shared history.
The Bruce Lee x adidas Jabbar ‘Game of Death’ will drop on August 30th, 2025, through the adidas website.
