Originally posted on May 9th, 2025 – Known for blurring the lines between streetwear and high fashion, Jaden Smith brought to the 2025 Met Gala a taste of a never-before-seen pair of New Balance 1906L sneaker-loafers.
The 1906L silhouette, already known for combining traditional loafers with sneaker comfort, takes on a new edge in this luxury black patent version. With a crocodile-textured upper, TPU heel counter, and rubber sole, the design matched his all-black tuxedo, aligning perfectly with this year’s Met Gala theme: ‘Tailored For You.’
There’s no official word yet on whether this exact black croc 1906L is expected to drop soon. But with sneaker-loafers gaining more and more traction, don’t be surprised if the 1906L becomes the next must-have silhouette.
