Cecilie Bahnsen Reinvents the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 with a Chic Mary Jane Twist
A new release from Cecilie Bahnsen and ASICS is on the horizon, and it’s one to get excited about! The Danish designer, known for her whimsical creations adorned with iconic floral prints, is bringing her magic to the classic GEL-KAYANO 20.

Debuting on the Fall/Winter 2025 runway in Paris, Cecilie Bahnsen’s collaboration with ASICS blends her feminine style with the brand’s sporty heritage. Inspired by a 2005 marathon tabi shoe, the design features asymmetrical lacing, D-ring details, and a shortened tongue, giving the GEL-KAYANO 20 a unique, fresh twist.
A signature element of every Cecilie Bahnsen release is the floral print, and the GEL-KAYANO 20 is no exception. Here, it appears as a floral ‘cage’. The uses transparent mesh, with shiny, reflective details that add a touch of sparkle to the entire silhouette.
The sneaker will be available in the colourways ‘Olive’ and ‘Vanilla/Pure Silver’.
Both colorways will drop exclusively at Cecilie Bahnsen on 2nd May 2025, with a global release following on 16th May 2025.
