When it comes to iconic collaborative duos, Kiko Kostadinov Studio and ASICS are definitely at the forefront of the movement. Putting a distinctive stamp on some of our favourite models as well as coining the progressive GEL-Quantum Kinetic and GEL-Quantum Zientzia, the duo knows exactly how to deliver a hit, time and time again. Now, turning its sights to the ASICS UB6-S GT-2160 (an updated take on the GT-2160), the London-based studio is debuting not one, but two stylish offerings due to land in the upcoming months. A Closer Look at the Kiko Kostadinov Studio x ASICS GT-2160…
Drawing similarities to the previously released SS24 capsule, the sneakers utilise the framework of the GT-2160 with an extra dash of Kino Kostadinov flair. Accentuating the intricacy of the construction, enlarged pull tabs on the tongue invite an exaggerated edge, working seamlessly with the vibrant ‘Azure’ and ‘Brown Storm’ colour palettes.
Swapping out mesh textile on the backtab and tongue for a fabric refashioning, the silhouette champions a fresh new vibe complimented by rope laces and magnified branding. Dressed in two colourways that couldn’t be more ideal for the cooler months, it’s safe to say that Kiko Kostadinov Studio and ASICS have done it again!
