Wu-Tang Clan’s Rare Nike Dunk High Makes a Triumphant Return
Listen up, a legendary comeback is on the horizon: the Wu-Tang Clan Dunk High is making a serious return in 2024! We’re just as gassed as you. These kicks first dropped back in ’99, and let us tell you, they were rarer than a sunny day in London. Only 36 pairs hit the streets, causing sneaker enthusiasts to lose their minds (and wallets) over them.
Fast forward to 2024, and Nike’s teasing us once again with the return of these bad boys. They’ve even got a clip up on Instagram showing the Dunks swarmed by bees – a nod to the Clan’s ‘Killa Bees’ crew.
This pair mirrors the colour scheme of the original Nike Dunk High Iowa, which debuted in 1985 as part of Nike’s ‘Be True to Your School’ collection, featuring team colours from colleges across the US. When the Swoosh reissued the collection in 1998 and 1999, the black and yellow Dunk caught the eye of the Wu-Tang Clan, perfectly matching their unique aesthetic.
Good news is, Nike is teasing a broader release this time around. That means more chances for all of us to snag a piece of hip-hop and sneaker history!
