Seemingly paying homage to a legendary predecessor, introducing the Nike Air Max DN ‘Silver Bullet‘.
When it comes to the Swoosh’s cultural impact on the streets, you really can’t deny it. From the classic white Air Force 1, to the Panda Dunk Low, Nike knows how to create a sneaker that dominates street culture, creating a legacy that continues way after the shoe’s initial drop. One of these grails has to be 2016’s metallic Nike Air Max 97, better known as the Silver Bullet. Taking audiences by storm with a stealthy exterior inspired by Japanese bullet trains, the shoe holds a firm position in the lifestyle sneaker hall of fame.
Although the more recently released Air Max DN still has a way to go before it receives grail status, it seems the latest offering is paying homage to one of the greats.
Just like the OG, this stealthy iteration flaunts a grey mesh fashioning, accented with Metallic Silver hits that surround the heel and mudguard sector. These kicks exude a familiar y2k steez that’s particularly nostalgic, infused with contemporary tech that ensures progressive comfort. Yep, we’re talking about the signature Dynamic Air midsole, taking shape in Phylon foam that allows for a smooth step.
Lastly, the shoe is made complete with a handful of red accents, just like the original Silver Bullet – concluding a strong checkpoint in Nike’s lineage.
Although a release date still remains under-wraps, we can expect the Nike Air Max DN ‘Silver Bullet’ to land in the upcoming weeks. Keep an eye on our Release Calendar to stay in the loop, and check back to this article for updates.
