ORIGINAL ARTICLE 09/05/24: Since the very beginning of their working relationship in 2019, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance have established themselves as a match made in sneaker heaven. Led by creative multidisciplinary Teddy Santis, the partnership has seen some stunning offerings touch the shelves, like the 860v2 Pack(s), 650 Gum Pack and Masaryk Community Gym Pack.
Now, bringing us some new heat for 2024, the pair explore a silhouette that’s not yet been used within their impressive roster. Next to step up to the podium is the New Balance 1000, and from what we can see so far, things are looking pretty sleek. If we do say so ourselves. Previously seen in conjunction with Joe Freshgoods, and co-signed by London’s very own Dave, it’s looking like a big year for the NB 1000.
Debuted over on Teddy Santis’ IG story, these kicks could be the best we’ve seen from the alliance so far. But hey, we’ll leave that opinion up to you.
Currently going off the exclusive snap, the collaborative shoe in question boasts a monochrome white exterior. Seamlessly highlighting the intricacy of the construction, the colourway is the epitome of less-is-more. Mesh details within the tongue sector and insole exude a light and breezy energy, significantly more lifestyle-coded than the stealthy persona we’ve seen prior. Reminding us of the context in which these beauties have been brought into fruition, ‘Aime’ co-branding dresses the sole, for a minimalist yet effective stamp.
As well as this opulent offering, a second colourway has emerged on the sneaker scene. Thanks to Fullress on Twitter, we’ve caught wind of a dark counterpart, and it does not disappoint whatsoever. Decked out in shiny patent overlays, this iteration takes a far stronger approach with an entirely blacked-out persona. These additional pictures also reveal ‘Aime’ branding on the lateral toe-box, and a classic ABZORB midsole.
As for right now, we’re not certain of the Drop Date for the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1000. However, we expect them within the upcoming SS24 months! While you wait, why not shop the latest from New Balance via the banner below…
