Reigning champions of the adidas Consortium Cup 2024, it’s safe to say multi-brand retailer OFFSPRING knows how to deliver. Battling round-after-round against other leading global retailers, the competition birthed a plethora of collaborative adidas models, from the classic Samba to the Ozweego. Now, don’t get us wrong, there was masses of heat involved at every stage. But, there was a certain runner that stood out to us as a clear winner. 

For the semi final, OFFSPRING took on the adidas ZX8000 – drawing inspiration from the concrete jungle for a distinctive edge. Paying homage to none other than the City of London, the shoe utilises premium construction for a streamlined aesthetic that we can’t get enough of. Let’s take a look at the details!

A Closer Look at the OFFSPRING x adidas ZX8000 (ID2909) …

Showcasing a harmonious blend of refined neutrals throughout the palette, each shade nods to Portland stone. A significant material used for centuries within London’s building landscape, the stone typically dons hues of beige that deepen with age and natural erosion. This is seamlessly expressed through a textural concoction, manifesting in a sleek blend of premium leather, shiny mesh and distressed suede across the exterior. 

Intricate detailing elevates the design further, featuring mint green hits at the aglet that allude to oxidised lead found on many of the city’s rooftops. Looking towards the interior, the Consortium Cup logo adorns a stunning city graphic insole, as well as adidas branding on the inner tongue badge. Rounding off these kicks, the lace tag boasts a graphic of the London skyline, whilst a golden ‘LONDON’ emblem proudly graces the lateral sidewall. A premium offering that’s as versatile as it is stylish. Winner worthy, if you ask us.
