Following the recently released images of the J Force 1 ‘Earth’ – a hybrid from the Nike and Jacquemus collaboration, there’s now a new silhouette on the block. The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 was successfully reintroduced in 2023, and after receiving several colourway updates, it looks like the French label will also get two palettes of its own.
Since the start of the power couple that is Jacquemus and Nike, the alliance have captivated significant response with a distinctively sophisticated take on sportswear. In 2022, the duo released their first collection, spotlighting a refined take on the Nike Air Humara LX. The outdoor model appeared in two colourways, each featuring the mini Swoosh on the centre panel, something that comes up in every Jacquemus x Nike collab.
Recently, we saw the first images of a new ‘Earth’ colourway of the J Force 1 silhouette. Less than a week later, images of a Nike Air Max 1 ’86 iteration are also emerging, and we’re not mad about it! Providing two palettes of metallic silver and pristine white, these kicks are likely to go down a treat with fashion connoisseurs. Both sneakers rep an understated design with dual branding embedded onto the tongue, heel, and insole, for a timeless appeal.
Utilising a woven base throughout the centre of the upper, the silver variant flaunts a mini Swoosh emblem upon on the centre panel. The padded collar gives the sneaker a chic look – reminding us of the French fashion house’s minimal and classy aesthetic. Looking towards white counterpart, perforation holes adorn the toe cop allowing breathability, in and amongst the clean leather upper. Embedding another collab-specific detail into the exterior, the outsole extends a little further over the nose than on the OG, keeping things fresh and exciting.
