Returning to reaffirm their legacy within the sneaker collaboration realm, the dynamic duo is back to give us two servings of the size? x New Balance 1906R. Landing within the ‘Diamond District’ pack, the capsule draws inspiration from the pawn shops of New York City. Although it may seem like an usual point of stimulus for a sneaker collab, it actually makes perfect sense when you think about it – especially given that the size? x New Balance offerings are typically met to responses as sought-after as valuable jewellery. Just take the 990v5 ‘Corner Shop’ or 990v3 ‘Orange Cream’ for instance, creating big waves with sneaker connoisseurs and casual wearers.
Debuted in imagery that flex suave timepieces against the kicks, it’s safe to say that that time can’t tick any faster for the arrival of this drop.
Expressing a deliciously complex exterior of textural harmonies, the first iteration dons earthy tones of brown and green. The contrasting blend of materials is what gives this size? x New Balance sneaker a distinctive edge, utilising suede, nubuck and mesh. Photographed next to an unreleased model of Vacheron Constantin’s Traditionnelle (a *very* expensive wristwatch), the iteration still manages to steal the spotlight.
The second colourway boasts a far more neutral palette, but no less dynamic. Consisting of a plethora of varying grey hues, the Boston-based brand injects the essence of its retro running models into the silhouette through suede and mesh fabrics. The lateral and medial side walls host red and blue hits within the NLock components, potentially referencing another undisclosed timepiece – the Pepsi Rolex GMT Master II.
The size? x New Balance 1906R Diamond District capsule is set to launch on the 4TH NOVEMBER ‘23, via size? launches. While you await the drop, shop the latest from size? sneakers by clicking the banner below…
