Established back in 1952 – who would have known that what began as a humble workwear brand would grow to be one of the most recognisable outdoor lifestyle label’s in the world? And the shoe responsible for the success? None other than the Original Timberland® Boot, not only changing the footwear game, but reinventing it.
Since its debut 50 years back in ‘73, the OG Timbs Boot has made its way through various subcultures. Initially designed as a durable boot for British construction workers, it’s crazy to think that these very kicks would one day be sported by stars like Kanye West. Popularised in fashion thanks to New York’s Hip Hop subculture in the ‘90s, the Timberland Boot quickly became an iconic model, stomping its way through fashion heritage.
Over the years, the Timberland Boot has accumulated a range of nicknames, such as Yellow Boot, Constructs, ‘61s, and Timbs. It’s only fair to pay homage to the culture that helped the journey – naming the forthcoming capsule ‘Butters’; coined by New Yorker and Philadelphian wearers in the 1990’s.

Despite its 50th year in the running, the capsule maintains the original premium craftsmanship that we all know and love, proving my point that Timberland do it best.
