Arriving as the second collaborative sneaker from the dynamic pairing, we have a first look at the Carhartt WIP x New Balance 990v6.
It’s been a great year for the New Balance 990v6. From creative alliances with big dogs like Action Bronson to Japanese label WTAPS, the model has consistently delivered since its debut last December. Following a reimagining of the New Balance 990v1 in the latter half of 2022, Carhartt WIP are back at it again with a NB takeover. Drawing inspiration from ‘sculpture centres’ (a fancy American phrase for the gym), this iteration boasts the workwear label’s signature palette across the exterior. We’re really feeling this one!
Rustic suede overlays immediately grab our attention, complimenting the tight-knit grey mesh foundation. Grey hues are additionally evident within the midsole’s heel and classic “N” emblem that adorns each sidewall. The front sector of the silhouette brings an element of lightness, identified within the creamy midsole. You can anticipate maximum comfort as well as steeze, via FuelCell tech that will have your feet thanking you. It’s safe to say that this 990v6 couldn’t be more apt for autumn – just look at those delicious brown tones that run throughout the upper! The insole lining and tongue tag throw a hint of khaki green into the mix, also referenced in the extra pair of laces that arrives with the collaborative kicks.
The Carhartt WIP x New Balance 990v6 ‘Sculpture Center’ will drop this Friday (20TH OCTOBER ’23) via NEW BALANCE & SELECTED STOCKISTS. In the meantime, shop the New Balance 990v1 x Carhartt WIP right here!
