The adidas x Wales Bonner Japan Revives a ’60s Model
Presented through an ’80s-inspired guise, the ADIDAS X WALES BONNER JAPAN reintroduces a 3-Stripes icon. adidas and eponymous luxury label Wales Bonner return with another stand-out project following the landmark Samba and apparel styles supplied last year. Debuted at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics the Japan received a limited re-release last August, with these updated takes boasting a host of premium refinements. A combination of nylon, grained leather and suede grace each upper, accentuated by Bonner’s reference points across weave stitching, classic material and tone choice. Completing the vintage colourways are co-branded tongue tags and ‘Wales Bonner’ script alongside the side stripes.
