The NEW BALANCE X AURALEE 550 finds the Japanese label joining forces with the NB guys for a clean and smart take on the 550 basketball design. Sticking to a minimal, tonal colour palette works really well on a shoe like the 550: the premium materials and no-nonsense construction take the full glory when placed under the spotlight, instead of hiding under kaleidoscopic colours. Vanilla dye keeps the midsole in line with the rest of the vintage tones, whilst the branding is also subdued with subtle debossed details on the uppers and a contrasting insole.
