The NIKE AIR STRUCTURE has shown up on the release schedule, which will bring a smile to the faces of many, as the shoe prepares for its 30th anniversary.
The Nike Air Structure Triax 91 launched way back in 1991 – the name kinda gives that away – and was the trailblazer for Nike’s Structure series: a line of running shoes that offered stability to runners who overpronate. The Structure Triax 91 looked remarkably vibrant for its time, with an eye-catching ‘zig-zag’ application to the upper panels and layers, and Air cushioning that looked different on the medial and lateral sides of the midsole. The shoe returned for an understated retro release between 2008 and 2010, with the Air Hoop Structure releasing for the ballers in 2009. The original shoe is returning this year – we’ve seen four colourways so far: Navy/Grey/Gold, Black/Grey/White, a rather tasty Air Max BW-inspired colourway and the classic Summit White, Neo Teal, Black, and Infrared edition which shows the design off to its full potential. Clear some room for these.
