The Drop Date recently paid a visit to ADIDAS HQ where we caught a glimpse of some highlights from the upcoming autumn/winter ’14 collection. While we are sure there is plenty more surprises kept under lockdown from the Brand with the Three Stripes, the bits we did see were enough to convince us that adidas are set to follow through on the strong start they made to 2014.
There is more to come from the revival of the EQT range; look out for a Support that makes heavy use of that signature sub green colour and more versions of the excellent EQT Racing, with a zebra-print version guaranteed to peak the interest of our female readers.
There was, in fact, a very strong women’s line-up on show: calfskin Superstars with metallic toepieces, split-blocked, aquatic-themed Tech Supers and an veritable arsenal of ZX Flux makeups show that adidas are putting in the graft when it comes to kicks for the fairer sex.
As expected, new colours and patterns of the Flux are on the horizon with some patterning Weave editions just beaten off centre stage by an incredible orange ‘OG’ makeup that makes use of Gore-Tex to create panelling on the upper that references the original tooling of the ZX 8000.
Other highlights included some winterised ZXZ 930s, luxury reissues of the classic Superstar, a twin-pack of Campus 80s that look to have multiple animalistic influences, new colourways of some late-90s tech runners, and a mud-caked Kazuki Kuraishi ZX 750.
Be sure to stick with The Drop Date as we bring you all the information on future ADIDAS releases, but until then be sure to check the current range via the link-through below.
