New Balance’s brand-new pub, THE RUNAWAY brings a touch of finesse to central London, launched to accompany NB’s sponsorship of the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon. Announced as a unique take on the classic British pub, it’s the perfect way to keep fit and refreshed during the lead up to the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon.
The traditional English pub might not be the obvious choice for a fitness-friendly location, but New Balance have gone the distance to prove that running and refreshment go hand in hand. Joining forces with fitness app Strava, patrons can pay for their pints with miles that they’ve logged on their Runaway Card. Four different challenges are running from February to April 2019, with milestones that range from logging 13 miles all the way up to a full 10k: 50-percent completion of each challenge will be rewarded with two beers each for you and a friend, whilst running the full distance gets you and a friend three pints apiece. Alongside the traditional bar area, there’s a gym section for anyone looking to work up a thirst in-house. Acting as a social hub and a physical representation of the New Balance ‘Everybody’s Race’ campaign, the New Balance Run Club community and London based Running club, RUN THE BOROUGHS will also make the pub their home for the season.
New Balance’s THE RUNAWAY pub is open now at 64-68 Charing Cross Road, London (click here to see Google Map details). Join the NB running club on Strava and gear up for your training at www.newbalance.co.uk. And of course, all of the best-dressed pubgoers will be sporting NBs: you can check out the latest collection at NEW BALANCE by hitting the banner underneath.
