The debut collection from new menswear brand ARHTO is here to reset the hype.
Founders Timur Karamolla and Sarah Hawkins have set out to go against the grain, aiming away from the tired trends and wasteful processes that plague the clothing industry. Drop 1 is a concise range of menswear staples that reworks familiar building blocks to create something new, resulting in a collection that breathes fresh life into everyday garments and offers an appealing alternative to the increasingly overblown hype circus.
While the phrase ‘classic with a twist’ has become something of a cliché these days, the difference here is the obsessive attention to detail that’s evident in each of the pieces on offer. Considered fabric choices, unexpected detailing and modular branding elements are combined to render something altogether different from a selection of nine wardrobe staples. Hoodies, tees, sweats, overshirts, jackets, smocks, trousers, hats and bags all come in a muted colour palette offset with minimal pops of orange, executed in fabrics ranging from heavyweight loopback jersey to weather-resistant softshell.
