The Nike Air Max 270 Futura Looks Back to ’96…
The Swoosh merges mid-’90s sensibilities with the 270’s futuristic airs across the NIKE AIR MAX 270 FUTURA.
New meets old for the next evolution of the Air Max 270, calling on inspiration taken from the shape of a somewhat forgotten mid-’90s runner, the Air Max Triax. First appearing in 1996, it presented more simplistic and stripped construction than the other Air models released that year. Taking the floor once more, the forthcoming Air Max 270 Futura borrows its curved shape and distinct lacing system, finished in bright blue and grey mesh with corresponding overlays and a slick silver neoprene tongue. The 270’s trademark Air-filled heel bag finishes off the fresh spin on this silhouette, which will no doubt add further fire to the current spate of rehashed vintage runners.
