At a time when marketing hype often outshines an end product, adidas and solebox have turned the spotlight back to three core factors: quality, creativity and exclusivity. With that in mind, the two models in this pack tick all of those boxes: the QUESENCE and the PUREBOOST DPR use premium suedes and leathers throughout their construction, with vegetable-tanned leather accents to add a little extra panache. As you’d expect, the shoes look as good in person as they did in the photos that we’d already seen, inspiring the onlookers to grab pairs as soon as they dropped. The launch event was a relaxed affair: food, drink and conversation flowed amongst the guests, making for a memorable but chilled evening. As a refreshing change, it seems that hype took a back seat to quality on this special project.
