The CLARKS ORIGINALS WALLACE might be a new addition to the Clarks footwear range, but it comes steeped in style straight from their design archives. We took the Wallace out onto the streets surrounding the new Clarks Originals flagship store in Soho, London to experience that authentic Clarks comfort for ourselves…
For those of us who love the classic Wallabee silhouette, the Wallace is absolutely brimming with appeal. Based on an archive pattern from the 1960s, the upper section of the Wallace takes cues from the Wallabee’s distinctive shape and form. The smart moccasin construction is paired with a robust leather runner board, which guarantees a pleasurable yet dependable experience underfoot. The luxurious leather inner sock adds an extra element of comfort, assuring the wearer’s feet that this is truly a premium footwear encounter. Coming from Clarks, it’s unsurprising to learn that no corners have been cut in regards to the materials utilised: premium suede from the Charles F. Stead tannery looks as good as it feels, offering superior durability across the whole shoe.
The Wallace might be a relative newcomer to the Clarks line-up, but as you’ll see in our photos, it sits perfectly next to the iconic Wallabee. It’s safe to say that we can chalk this one up as another win for the skilled shoemakers at Clarks.
