Inspired by wilderness exploration, the new range is focussed on performance –Ā but it’s no slouch in the aesthetics department either. Which isĀ a breath of fresh air (no pun intended), since outdoors gear generallyĀ gets a bad repĀ for itsĀ associations with technicolour family-friendly hikingĀ garms.
The Day One AW17 Collection is based around a minimal, neutral colour palette thatĀ brings to mindĀ boulders and overcast skies, with rock surface patternsĀ and raised texturesĀ elevating a selection of outerwear, mid-layers and shoes. Climaproof footwear comes equipped with a GORE-TEX coating, while the outerwearĀ selection boasts Polartec insulation and waterproof construction. There are merino-blend base layer tees, wind pants with a water-repellent coating, and a teched-out utility pack to round things off.
