The SAGE ELSESSER x CONVERSE CONS ONE STAR CC PRO updates the classic silhouette for the pro skater’s second collaboration project with Converse.
First released back in 1974, the Converse One Star relaunched back in 1993, quickly establishing itself as a serious contender due to its uncomplicated appearance and excellent grip. Sage Elsesser – pro skater for FA, Supreme and Converse – picked the shoe for this project after seeing a vintage edition whilst shopping in Harajuku. Bringing it to the attention of the Converse design team in Boston, they decided to reproduce the silhouette with a stitch for stitch replica of the upper.
Presented here in white and navy and constructed in premium materials, including smooth leather and hairy suede, the addition of the Nike Lunarlon insole gives unparalleled cushioning. The CONS traction rubber outsole offers reliable grip underfoot, meaning that shoe performds as well as it looks. To round off the design details, a golden rose on the tongue sits alongside handprint-adorned insoles, which both pay tribute to some of Sage’s favorite album covers.
